The George E. Bentley Memorial Lecture Series

The long running Waterford Foundation's George E. Bentley Memorial Lecture Series, is named after the Waterford resident and preservationist. The Waterford Foundation strives to increase public knowledge of life and work in an early American rural community through education.

Lectures are free and open to the public.

Past lectures have included:

  • Alan Geoffrion, author and screenwriter of the novel and AMC mini-series Broken Trail
  • Tom Mathews, author of Our Father’s War, Growing Up in the Shadow of the Greatest Generation
